In Cadiz, Spain, we did an upgrade on the electrical systems and energy storage on a 38ft sailing yacht.

As usual, we start with a thorough investigation of the existing systems, the client’s wishes and budget, and make a proposal.
After that, we design a system.

2x MG Energy 12v 210Ah installed. There’s room for an optional 3rd battery.

Installing the MG Energy BMS and DC distribution.

Installing the wiring to and from the MG Energy Master LV 12v 400A.
The little wardrobe cabinet in the aft cabin is now fully occupied by equipment 😅

Victron Cerbo installed at the chart table.
The Cerbo controls and monitors the entire system.

They came to me with the complaint that they couldn’t make a cup of coffee in the evening. During the day, with the solar panels generating energy, there was no problem but when the sun went down the batteries gave up quickly.
After finishing the installation, I monitored the boat remotely for a brief period to check if everything was running fine. I saw them multiple days at anchor doing daily energy cycles, having full batteries by solar power, using the induction cooker, and of course: enjoying their coffee in the evening! 🙂
