Some history: At the end of 2016 I transformed my existing business called “CPTech” to “New-Energy.Today”. As CPTech I had been doing all round technical jobs for many years, always with a focus on the maritime sector and electrical installations. Gradually, my work had shifted more and more into the direction of challenging, hi-tech electrical and electronics & software projects. So I decided to focus on that and leave the often more mechanical jobs behind. In 2016, a big project came up: one of my customers (a yacht charter company) decided to transform 11 of their charter boats to fully electric and to build 2 new electric boats. So, remove the old diesel engine, install an electric motor, lithium batteries, solar panels, monitoring & control systems and a small backup diesel genset. I was asked to design, install and manage that project that was going to take a couple of years. Something like this was exactly what I had in mind when I decided to change focus! So, from 2017 to early 2020 that was New-Energy.Today ‘s main project (although a number of other, small, projects were done in the meantime). This big project shaped my solid base of expertise in the field of Victron equipment and MG Energy lithium technology.
Here’s a gallery of random images of these fully electric boats we built in those years:

New-Energy.Today initially was supposed to be a group of forward-thinking and pioneering entrepreneurs in the field of electrical energy, sharing the same vision. But it never really evolved to that group idea. The “group-members” kept on doing their own businesses over the years and New-Energy.Today stayed my sole proprietorship. But, up to the present day we all are fine colleagues and close friends, cooperating and supporting each other in all kinds of great projects and that remains a good feeling!
